Verizon Wireless customers attempting to use their cellphones were experiencing problems making calls, beginning this morning and into early afternoon. This included callers attempting to reach county government offices and the 9-1-1 center. Verizon technical support states the issue has been resolved and the system is fully operational.
Verizon wireless reports the problem was isolated to the Leonardtown area and that data and text services were unaffected by the outage.
