On August 22, 2016, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to a private residence in Mechanicsville, Maryland for a sex offense. The investigation was continued by detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division.
The investigation revealed over a period of time, Timothy Lee King II, age 30, of Oxon Hill, Maryland, and a fourteen-year-old female exchanged a series of text messages that were sexual in nature. During their conversations, King solicited the juvenile to perform various sexual acts.
As a result of the investigation, King was charged via an arrest warrant for sexual solicitation of a minor, Fourth Degree Sex Offense – Sexual Contact, and Assault Second Degree. King was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.
