CDS Possession Intent to Distribute: On June 19, 2019, Sheriff's deputies responded to the area of Rodine Way in Lexington Park for the report of a disturbance. The occupants of a vehicle identified as part of the disturbance were taken into custody and a search of the vehicle located numerous bags of marijuana and cocaine. David Dawayne Gatlin Jr., 22 of Cheltenham, was arrested, transported to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center and charged with CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute (Cocaine) and CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute (Marijuana) by Deputy Benjamin Luffey. Loaded Handgun in Vehicle: During the disturbance call at Rodine Way in Lexington Park on June 19, 2019, a suspect vehicle was stopped. Sequoia Nicole Hamilton, 22 of California, was in the driver's seat. During the consent search of the vehicle, a loaded 9 mm handgun was found under the driver's seat. Hamilton was arrested, transported to the St. Mary's County Detention and Rehabilitation Center and charged with Reckless Endangerment, Loaded Handgun in Vehicle and Firearm/Drug Traffic Crime by DFC Dale Smith. Open Container Possession: On June 16, 2019, Deputy Joseph Bowling observed Monroe Maurice Gantt, 52 of Lexington Park, with an open container of an alcoholic beverage at the Church of the Ascension in Lexington Park. Vincent Pontorno observed Gerald Anthony Knott, 46 of Lexington Park, with an open container of an alcoholic beverage at 46900 South Shangri La Drive in Lexington Park and was charged with Possession of an Open Alcoholic Beverage Retail Establishment.
